We Poor seven student..after whole day's journalistic exercises and eating ACJ canteen food decided to go to the villa, our zone of comfort. Since, we were busy with few assignments, we stayed back a little late,till 11.27PM. We left college and reached the station at 11.37PM. In a completely deserted place we found four policemen taking a round inside the station. As an ardent law-follower we felt good at the very sight of four policemen, doing their duty. One of them saw us...And...
Policeman:- Who are you guys?(in broken Hindil)
Sachin:- No Hindi.
P1:- Kaun hai tumlok?
Sachin:- (Pranay) Students,
P2:- You guys are not supposed to roam around after 12'o clock
Mahima:why? (startled)
P1-today is 26/11
Mahima-so......(still confused)
P1-how do we know, whether you are a student or a terrorist?(taking out his note-book)
Rashmi:-(speechless)......(sigh).........
P1:- show me your ticket.
Mahima:- (annoyed) what? We are not going to travel by train or by bus, We are crossing the station building and We are not on the platform.
P2:-you can't come inside the station,without a ticket.
Scahin:-But, the ticket window is inside the station, so if we want to buy a ticket we will have to cum inside the station.
P2:-that i dnt knw...
Sachin:- then?
P1:- this is not a public road, and you guys are coming here at 12o'clock?
Scahin:-This is our everyday road, Anna...
P2:- No, means no!!!
P1-go to madhya kailash and go wherever you want to go.
Scahin-now?
P1-yes...do u have MONEY
Scahin-no
P1:-i-card
Pranay-Come to our hostel, we will show you (the i-card)
P1:-You guys are student, and you don't have an i-card?
Scahin:-We have, don't have it right now.
P1:- Where are you from?
Prany:- Indiai.
P2:- (grinning) terrorist attacks in India, do you guys know?
Pranay:- Yes
P1:- Where do you guys study?
Mahima:- Garden City College, JOURNALISM!!!!!
P2:-hhmmm...get out of the station and cross the road from Madhya Kailash.
Sachin:-why?
P2:-(frustrated)call your professor..
Sachin:- why? (Scahin had no balance, anyways)
P1:-go away...right now!!!!
P2:- Our inspector is not here, otherwise.....
Mhaima:- Thank you, Anna (and inspector)!!!!!

ReplyDeleteGood Post.. This happens everywhere.. I can relate with an personal experience.. I remember having a little dispute over the matter over my college bag.. Actually, it was a little before the independence day celebrations.. the so called security was at high.. cop stopped me and my friend.. snatched my bag and told me get down of the bike.. i objected.. actually there were a lot of invitation-cards of an important seminar to be held at our deptt. in the bag.. the policeman weighed the bag, found it extra heavy.. emptied it on the road-side and then followed a full-fleged quarrel.. God knows- harrassment or security do the provide...
